LEVEL.
The husb and I got a new bed frame and mattress for Christmas. It has already been life-changing. The bed we had was at least 15 years old and caused me to forget how wonderful it is to wake up feeling refreshed...and without a sore back. Also, I was able to use one of my favorite apps while installing the bed frame: iHandy Level. As you can see I got the frame level in our crooked old house... Boom!

CHRISTMAS PARTY.
We had a Christmas party this past weekend and while I meant to take a lot of pictures before and during the party...I didn't. Running around hosting the damn thing got in the way of being a photographer wallflower...my preferred role. But thanks to the help of a friend who always seems to swoop in just when I'm about to lose my shit (thanks Emily!) I am able to present some of her photos here...

I just finished watching Ken Burn's The Dust Bowl which was airing on PBS the last two nights. The photos are incredible, but it was a hard show to get through. The personal accounts are pretty heart wrenching...
